Appointments
The Animal Emergency center DOES NOT schedule appointments; however we do ask that when
possible you call ahead and inform us of the nature of your pet's medical problem. Emergency cases shall always
receive top priority!
Once you arrive at the Animal Emergency Center, your pet will be triaged by a technician. The most critical
cases will be taken to the treatment area for immediate stabilization.
Due to the nature of any "ER" situation, wait times can vary depending on the current case load. Rest
assured that all patients will be thoroughly examined and treated to the best of our ability, regardless of their
condition.
Payment Policy
The Animal Emergency Center, Inc. does not offer billing arrangements. All fees are due and payable at the
time that services are rendered. You will be provided with a financial estimate of the cost of your pets care.
We require a deposit (usually approx. 50% of the expected charges) be paid before any patient is hospitalized.
For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, cash and personal checks.
Hospitalization Policy
Hopefully, you are able to get some rest as we care for your pet, and we try not to interrupt that
without cause. Clearly, we will communicate with you if your pet’s condition worsens. Also, we may call
to request permission to perform further tests or give different treatments than what was discussed on
the treatment plan.
You are welcome to call at anytime to see how your pet is doing. If your pet is hospitalized, you may
also want to visit. We encourage you to call first. Sometimes this facility can become very busy and
chaotic, and treating cases must take precedence over owner visits. At all times, nurses are assigned
to care for your animal, but visiting may not be practical due to a high caseload. However, we want to
make sure that you are always comfortable and well-informed. Please feel free to ask any questions.
Our mission is to provide high-quality veterinary health care services to your pet. One of the greatest
tools we have in that mission is the support of you, the owner. Please feel free to ask any questions that
you may have. It is our honor and privilege to serve your pet and you.
